Sharing settings

Set sensible defaults for new file links and uploads.

Cloudflare connection is managed separately
Open the shared Backend connection panel to connect this browser to your development Worker and D1 ledger.
Development
Upload restrictions
Apply limits before an upload begins.
Frontend validation only in this prototype. The Worker must enforce this limit too.
Separate extensions with commas. Do not include dots. Server-side validation will be added later.
Default link lifetime
New links can expire automatically.
In production this requires a scheduled Worker to check expiry and delete R2 objects safely.
Link security
Choose the defaults for sharing.
Suggest password protectionPreselect password protection in the upload form.
Show file size on share pageLet visitors know what they're downloading.
Allow expiring linksLet the uploader choose an expiry date.
Prototype notes
Before production launch
Settings are saved only in this browser using localStorage. No Cloudflare configuration or server limits are changed by this page.
Production password checks, link tokens, rate limits, quota enforcement, and object deletion must be validated server-side in the Worker. Frontend controls are never a security boundary.
PUBLIC SHARE EXPERIENCE

This is the visitor-facing page generated for a shared file.

Upload files

Set link security and expiry before creating a demo share page.

New file share
Select multiple files in one batch. Each selected file gets its own demo share link; no file bytes leave your browser.

Drop files here or browse

Max 10 GB per file · mp4, mkv, webm, zip, pdf, jpg, png

For this prototype only; production will hash/verify passwords in the Worker and never expose them to the browser.
BUSINESS MODEL SIMULATOR

Quota & revenue lab

Test adaptive uploader quota and VIP referral economics. Embed policy is automatic; manage paid bandwidth in its dedicated tab.

DEMO ONLY
Simulation only: all balances, events, ad revenue, and affiliate calculations below are local demo values. No real payment, payout, R2 operation, or production policy is changed. The figures are illustrative, not an official Abyss/Hydrax algorithm.

Referral share

Default: 80% platform / 20% affiliate
3. Embed policy (automatic)
No monetization-mode selector for uploaders in V1. The platform applies the rules automatically.
Fixed policy
Free embedS11N ads are enabled automatically. Valid plays can contribute to popularity and adaptive daily upload quota; no per-view payout is promised by default.
Paid bandwidthPurchasing bandwidth removes S11N ads from eligible embed delivery. Delivered bytes consume the purchased balance; it is not an unlimited or guaranteed-speed plan.
VIP viewerVIP is a separate product for first-party search, catalog, streaming, available qualities, downloads, and an ad-free viewing experience.
Manage purchased bandwidth in the Bandwidth tab. Free embed traffic is tracked separately and does not debit the paid wallet. Paid embed traffic must be metered by the server before this policy can be used for real customer delivery.
4. Keep commercial ledgers separate
These balances represent different products and must not be mixed together.
Accounting rule
Bandwidth ledgerPurchases, demo top-ups, and delivered-byte debits live in the Bandwidth tab.
Affiliate ledgerVIP referral commissions are based on eligible net membership payments, not video views.
Uploader quotaValid content demand changes upload allowance; daily upload quota is not persistent storage size.
V1 scope: custom uploader-owned ads and real creator revenue sharing are not configurable here. Keep the first release to S11N ads on free embeds and no S11N ads for paid-bandwidth embeds. Billing and byte metering are still development-only until the delivery layer is integrated.
How the three rules fit together
The commercial boundaries we should preserve in the actual backend.
Upload allowanceControls new data intake per day; it is not persistent storage size.
Paid bandwidthPays for external embed delivery with S11N ads removed. Uploader-owned ad customization is not in V1.
VIP membershipControls first-party access to search, catalog, streaming, quality selection, downloads, and an ad-free experience.
Suggested rule: on S11N's own player, valid events may qualify for the separately configured uploader reward/content-revenue program. On paid-bandwidth embeds, count valid traffic for popularity and upload quota, but do not pay S11N-funded per-view/per-download rewards by default because S11N is not serving its own ads on those plays. VIP referral commission remains tied to eligible VIP payments, not to video views.
DEVELOPMENT INTEGRATION

Backend connection

Connect the UI to your development Worker and D1 database. This is not production authentication.

DEV ONLY
Browser origin diagnostic
The browser origin must exactly match ALLOWED_ORIGIN in worker/wrangler.jsonc.
CORS check
Current Pages origin

Use the project URL such as https://s11n-analytics-bandwidth-v5.pages.dev, not a hash-prefixed deployment preview URL, unless you deliberately set ALLOWED_ORIGIN to that exact origin and redeploy the Worker.
Cloudflare backend connection · Development
Connect this browser to the development Worker and D1 ledger. The Worker URL may be saved in this browser; the Admin PIN is memory-only and is never written to localStorage.
Local demo
Paste only the base Worker URL, without /health or an API path.
Must match the Worker secret ADMIN_PIN and contain at least 12 characters. Never share it.
Not connected yet. The dashboard currently shows local sample data. Connection checks will report the exact stage and error here. Demo top-ups never charge money.
If connection fails
Follow these checks in order; never paste the Admin PIN into a public chat.
  1. Open the canonical Pages project URL.
  2. Confirm ALLOWED_ORIGIN exactly matches the page origin (scheme and hostname, no path or trailing slash).
  3. Confirm the Worker URL is the deployed *.workers.dev base URL.
  4. Confirm the secret ADMIN_PIN is the same value entered here and is at least 12 characters long.
  5. Redeploy the Worker after editing configuration values.

Analytics

Compact, aggregated statistics inspired by video-hosting dashboards.

Lightweight analytics prototypeCharts use small aggregated demo series. In production, the Worker should return pre-aggregated time buckets rather than downloading raw play events into the browser.

Paid embed draws down purchased bandwidth. Free embed uses platform-funded delivery and is accounted separately; neither mode should generate uploader payouts unless a separate eligible revenue-share policy applies.
